Faces of the Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra’s Discovery Artist Concert

Over 30 young musicians competed for an opportunity to perform with the Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra this January as part of OSO’s Discovery Artist Concert competition. Four winners were chosen to perform with the symphony for their 75th Anniversary season.

Performing January 28th at The Grand is 14 year old violinist Emily Hauer who will perform Saint-Saen’s Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso. Seventeen year old cellist Daria Van De Loo will perform Lalo’s Cello Concerto in D minor. Liam Mayo, 17 year old pianist, will perform Mendelssohn’s Piano Concerto in G minor and Xi (Zoey) Lin, 21 year old pianist, will perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto in A minor. To start the concert, conductor Daniel Black and the symphony musicians will perform the overture to Mozart’s Magic Flute.
